Raleigh apartment fire displaces 8 early Friday morning

— A fire damaged two apartment units on Poole Road and displaced eight people early Friday morning, according to the the Raleigh Fire Department.

Investigator Lt. Grant Williams reported that 40 percent of the one-story apartment building at 3003 Poole Road was damaged.

The fire department was notified of the blaze at 12:46 a.m., and it was brought under control within 30 minutes, according to the report.

The cause of the fire was listed as accidental.

No injuries were reported.
