Hagan’s dilemma

Sen. Kay Hagan, like former Triangle Democratic Congressmen Bob Etheridge and Brad Miller, has been a strong advocate for, voted for and continues to support Obamacare, but “Obamacare is broken!” and “a train wreck” as one prominent Democratic senator has said. The Affordable Care Act has become the Unaffordable Care Act, and many people who formerly had health care provided by their companies and/or worked more than 29.5 hours a week have been the losers under Obamacare. It turns out that insuring the uninsured is uninsuring the insured, and Hagan doesn’t seem to care!

Also, like many N.C. Democratic politicians at the federal level, she has become an N.C. Democrat in Name Only (DINO). The party of Democratic Sen. Sam Ervin Jr. and Democratic President John F. Kennedy no longer exists. Unfortunately, as the national party drives off the cliff, the Democrats still want to take us with them as they promote increasing dependency, mediocrity and poverty for the folks they say they want to help.

Unless Hagan changes her position on Obamacare, she should not run for re-election in 2014. Otherwise, she should be opposed in a Democratic primary.
