Mrs. Jacob Ritchie

Miss Jenna Collins Thompson and Mr. John Jacob Ritchie were married on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at five o’clock in the evening at Rose Hill Plantation in Nashville, North Carolina. Reverend Jeff Loman officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Oakley, Jr. of Raleigh and Mr. and Mrs. Marty Thompson of Clayton. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elton Thompson of Clayton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Collins of Huntington, NY.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ritchie of Troy, NC. He is the grandson of Mrs. Velvin Kelly of Troy, the late Mr. Wilburn Kelly of Troy and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ritchie of Troy.

Miss Christy Horne of Raleigh served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jamie Ritchie of Raleigh, Mrs. Stacey Webb of Raleigh and Miss Samantha Mitchell of Raleigh. Cousin of the bride, Miss Alexandra Christie of Clayton, served as reader and guest book attendant.

Mr. John Ritchie, father of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Mr. Joseph Ritchie of Raleigh, Mr. Jason Haywood of New London, and Mr. Justin Saunders of High Point.

The bride is a graduate of Needham B. Broughton High School in Raleigh and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She is a marketing coordinator at an animal health company in Research Triangle Park. The groom is a graduate of West Montgomery High School in Troy and North Carolina State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture. He is currently employed with Bland Landscaping in Apex.

Following a honeymoon trip to Mexico, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
