Scott Seifried: A real high note

A real high note

Once again, Raleigh has shown itself to be an excellent choice for entertainment extraordinaire. The IBMA Wide Open Bluegrass Festival was more than successful, as our City of Oaks provided – for two crowd-pleasing days of perfect weather and music – the warmth and hospitality lacking in Nashville, where such events have become routine and taken for granted.

Let us congratulate everyone who worked diligently to bring the festival here and placed Raleigh another step or two higher on the list of venue choices. What better dilemma could one face than to try to figure out how to do all the things that were going on here in one weekend? We had the Southern Ideal Home Show, the N.C. State Wolfpack football game and the Bluegrass Festival all going on simultaneously, and with success. Bravo, Raleigh!
