Pittsboro Northwood's Ti Pinnix among N&O's football leaders

Charger quarterback Ti Pinnix (18) has a clear lane to look down the field at Carrboro last Friday. Pinnix connected on 39 of 61 passes for 309 yards and four touchdowns as 3A Northwood downed former conference rival Carrboro 41-19.

Ti Pinnix of Pittsboro Northwood is the only area quarterback averaging more than 300 passing yards per game. He has passed for 1,626 yards and 18 touchdowns in the Chargers first six games. He has had six passes intercepted.

Pinnix, who rushed for 67 yards, also leads the area in total offense with 338.2 yards per game.

Cardinal Gibbons’ quarterback is second in total off with 325.0 yards per game.

Nyheim Hines of Garner is the only rusher averaging more than 200 yards, darting for 223.2 yards per game. He also has scored 21 touchdowns. Hines is the only running back among the total offense leaders.
