Rich Carlino: Burr saving taxpayers money

October 1, 2013

Taxpayers win

The writer of the Sept. 28 letter “Silent Burr” regarding the judicial vacancy stated, “Sen. Richard Burr is not letting the voters of North Carolina know where he stands.”

There is no backlog in the judicial district where the vacancy is. Let me repeat: There is no backlog of cases. What the senator is doing is saving the constituency hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries and costs.

If someone is interested in a topic, rather than wait to be spoonfed every thought and detail, get involved and take the time to research the subject rather than write letters to a forum that is all too willing to stir the pot.
