Korean-born pianist Joyce Yang, an international star at just 26, joins N.C. Symphony music director Grant Llewellyn for performances in Raleigh’s Meymandi Concert Hall Friday and Saturday. Yang plays the grandly romantic “Symphonic Variations” by Cesar Franck and the exotically haunting “Nights in the Gardens of Spain” by Manuel De Falla. Llewellyn leads the orchestra in music from Paul Dukas’ “La Peri” and Maurice Ravel’s “Rhapsodie espagnole.” 8 p.m. $18-$60. 919-733-2750 or ncsymphony.org.
