Raleigh man charged with embezzlement

— A Raleigh man is accused of embezzling about $30,000 from Vasolabs Inc., a Utah-based medical diagnostic company.

Richard Lewis Soltis, of 4705 Royal Troon Drive, is charged with stealing five checks from Raleigh Durham Medical Group that belonged to Vasolabs, according to an arrest warrant.

Police say that the offense occurred between May 17 and July 15. Soltis, 46, was arrested Wednesday morning and released just after noon on $5,000 bail.
