Robert Grove: Our civic obligation to pass bond issue

October 5, 2013

Civic obligation

Many letters and editorials have been written recently about the upcoming Wake County school bond. Much of the discussion seems to be around counting seats, current capacity and future growth. No one can refute that Wake County has experience phenomenal growth in the past 20 years and that growth is certainly going to continue. So, even if the projections are off a little, the need for additional schools is unquestionable.

It is our civic obligation to see that the children in our communities have adequate learning environments. Growth is coming. Let’s take the responsible path to growth and public education.
