What to Watch on Wednesday: ‘Tomorrow People’ debuts on the CW

The Tomorrow People (9pm, CW) - In this new CW drama, humans born with paranormal abilities are hunted by a paramilitary group of scientists who believe they are a threat to mankind. Tonight, Stephen Jameson learns that he is one of the Tomorrow People, a genetically advanced race with abilities of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communication.

Arrow (8pm, CW) - As the second season begins, Oliver returns to Starling City after the Undertaking and finds that things are in worse shape than he thought. Also, Isabel prepares a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated and Thea refuses to visit Moira in jail.

Nova: Megastorm Aftermath (9pm, UNC-TV) - Nova examines Hurricane Sandy, the October 2012 superstore that devastated the East Coast. Included: whether it was a freak storm or a harbinger of things to come; and the progress that's been made in making urban infrastructure more resilient.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - When Cameron's older sister comes for a visit, he struggles to find a way to tell her about his engagement, but he's not the only one with surprising news. Meanwhile, Phil and Claire make a pact to miss Luke's soccer game until one of them can't live with the guilt.

CSI (10pm, CBS) - The CSIs investigate a fire at a music venue that leaves four people dead, including two band members.

Nashville (10pm, ABC) - Juliette performs at a private party for a wealthy couple, and Rayna's divorce is finalized. Also, Deacon worries that his past struggles with his father will influence his emerging relationship with Maddie.
