Cape Lookout/Bogue Inlet

Topsail Island
Blue and Spanish mackerel have been caught off the pier and surf. Spot, pompano, Virginia mullet and flounder have also been spotted off the pier and surf. Wilmington/ Wrightsville Beach

Southport/Sunset Beach

Falls Lake
Bass up toward New Life Creek are biting off crank and slow roll spitters. Catfish are around the channels down the lake are hitting off night crawlers and livers. Crappie are biting at around 8-10 feet deep, hitting minnows and crappie jigs. White bass are schooling north. Water level: normal 251.5, Wednesday 251.18, full pool 264.8. Jordan Lake

Kerr Lake

Shearon Harris Lake
Crappie are biting at variable depths off suspended minnows, crappie minnows or jig heads. Largemouth bass have also been caught off suspended, vertical jigging spoons. On secondary points, they have been biting off medium diving crank baits during early morning hours in top water over grass.
