How fortunate for bluegrass fans that the Gibson Brothers are performing at the Cary Arts Center Friday night. Two weeks ago in Raleigh, the fabulously talented siblings took their second straight Entertainer of the Year trophy at the IBMA’s World of Bluegrass. They also won Vocal Group of the Year and Song of the Year for “They Called it Music,” written by Eric Gibson and Raleigh resident Joe Newberry. If you missed those sets, or you just can’t get enough of the Gibson Brothers’ delightfully soulful music and stage presence, don’t miss this chance to hear a band that is redefining bluegrass for the 21st century. townofcary.org
