Zombies have invaded lots of classic literature lately, and now, it’s the Bard’s turn. HiSTORYstage’s production of John Heimbuch’s witty “William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead” is set in 1599 London where plague-ridden madmen roam the streets, causing the Globe Theatre to become both safe haven and quarantined prison. Common Ground Theatre, Durham. 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday; 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday (also plays Raleigh’s Burning Coal Theatre Oct. 24-27). $12-$18. 919-339-1558 or historystage.org.
