Seven area players named to N.C. Shrine team

The Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas is a high school all-star football game that matches teams from North Carolina and South Carolina. This year’s 77th annual game will be played in Spartanburg, S.C., on Saturday, Dec. 21.

Head coach Burton Cates of Lee County and his Shrine Bowl staff selected the players who will represent North Carolina in the game.
