HONOLULU — The Hawaii International Film Festival is featuring 209 films from 42 countries this year.
Films will be shown on Oahu through next weekend. The movie viewing will move to Kauai and Hawaii islands from Oct. 24 to 27.
Sixteen of the films will have their world premieres at the festival. Twenty-eight are being screened in the U.S. for the first time.
The festival kicked off in Honolulu Tuesday with "Final Recipe" from Korea-born screenwriter and director Gina Kim and "The Wind Rises" from Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki.
