WHITEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities in Columbus County have arrested three men in connection with the shooting death of a Tabor City man.

The sheriff's office said 20-year-old Darrius Dequan Hunter, 23-year-old Demoncrick Hunter and 29-year-old Christopher Fione are charged with murder and conspiracy to commit robbery. The three are being held without bond and it couldn't be determined if any of the men has an attorney.

Capt. David Nobles, deputies responded to a reported shooting at the home of Johnathan Elgin Long on Tuesday. It's there that they found the body of 20-year-old Lee Travis Wright, who had been shot once in the chest.

Long was shot and wounded.
