St. Francis tops Monmouth 28-10 behind turnovers

— Bishop Neal and DaQuan Minter each returned a first-quarter turnover for a touchdown as St. Francis topped Monmouth 28-10 on Saturday.

St. Francis (2-4) scored on the opening kickoff as Lorenzo Jerome forced a fumble that was recovered and then ran in by Neal. The Red Flash then took a 14-0 lead later in the first with an 18-yard touchdown pass from Max Ward to Terell Smith. A 44-yard interception return by Minter, less than a minute later, extended the St. Francis lead to 21-0.

Kyle Harbrigde also ran for a 23-yard score in the fourth and finished with 26 carries for 94 yards for St. Francis.

The Red Flash held Monmouth (3-4) to 191 total yards. Brandon Hill and Greg DePugh combined for just 81 yards passing for the Hawks.
