Glendale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Phoenix Coyotes brought in veteran forward Jeff Halpern on Saturday with a one-year, two-way contract.

Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 37-year-old native of suburban Washington, DC totaled just one goal and three points in 46 combined games with the Rangers and Canadiens last season.

In 907 NHL contests since breaking into the league with the Washington Capitals in 1999, Halpern has compiled 147 goals and 361 points.
