Lawhorn leaves WSU program

— The Washington State men's basketball program says junior college transfer Danny Lawhorn has left the team.

Lawhorn was expected to play point guard for the Cougars.

Lawhorn was suspended indefinitely by coach Ken Bone in late September for reasons that were not released.

As a freshman at San Jacinto College in Texas, Lawhorn led the nation in assists in 2011-12.

Point guard duties will likely fall to veteran guards DaVonte Lacy and Royce Woolridge.
