Grayson Ellington Gant and Nathan James Hampson were married on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at the home of the bride in Burlington, North Carolina. Ms. Bobbie Jarmon Tosca, a close friend of the couple, officiated. Following the ceremony, a reception was held on the lawn of the bride’s home.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Erwin Gant, Jr. of Burlington. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles Fulton Clark, the late Mr. Clark of Burlington and the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen Erwin Gant, Sr. of Burlington. She is a graduate of Walter M. Williams High School in Burlington and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club of Raleigh. Grayson is owner of Bespoke Studio of Raleigh.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Clifford Hampson of Whispering Pines, North Carolina. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur White of Swanbourne, Buckinghamshire, England and the late Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Hampson of Pinehurst, North Carolina. He is a graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham, North Carolina and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree at Harvard Extension School, Harvard University. Nathan is the Chief Technical Officer and Managing Partner of Advanced Capture Team, LLC.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by Meghan Natifa Griffith of Raleigh, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carliese Scotten DeLuca of Charlotte, North Carolina, Heather Alexander Ezrine of Burlington, Sommer Paris Sobin of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Helen Banzet Wallace of Raleigh, and Jane Blair White of Santa Monica, California.
Matthew Greg Franklin of Los Angeles, California served as best man. Groomsmen were Allen Erwin Gant III, brother of the bride, of Chapel Hill, Jared Gabriel Boone of San Diego, California, Zachery Andrew Nusbaum of Durham, Taran Daniel Rosenthal of Chapel Hill, and Paul Benjamin Sobin of Chapel Hill.
Also assisting for the wedding were Angela Ruth Moser of Raleigh and Lindsay Kakavas Shakarjian of Chapel Hill as program attendants.
Following a wedding trip to the Grenadine Islands, the couple will reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.
