Jazz G Burke out indefinitely with broken finger

Published: October 13, 2013 Updated 4 hours ago

Utah Jazz rookie Trey Burke fractured his right index finger on Saturday night in a 106-74 loss to the LA Clippers.

Burke got injured midway through the first quarter when his hand got tangled with Clippers' all-star Chris Paul.

The Michigan product was drafted ninth by Minnesota and traded to Utah on draft night. Burke will be re-evaluated on Monday to determine if surgery is necessary.

John Lucas III and Alec Burks are candidates to start in Burke's absence.
