CHARLOTTE — NASCAR released its 2014 Sprint Cup Series schedule Tuesday and, as expected, it has few changes from this year.
The one significant change had been announced Kansas Speedway will swap its early April date with the Mother's Day weekend date Darlington, S.C., has held for nearly a decade. Texas also changed its spring April race to a Sunday afternoon. It was on a Saturday night this season.
The remainder of the schedule is nearly identical to 2013.
Charlotte Motor Speedway will continue to host three events in NASCARs top series. The Sprint All-Star Race is slated for May 17 and the Coca-Cola 600 on May 25. The tracks fall date in 2014 will be Oct. 11.
In addition to the schedule unveiling, NASCAR announced its Air Titan track drying system will be available at every Cup race weekend throughout the 2014 season.
