Terry Kelly: Clean up, candidates

October 17, 2013

Now that the elections are over with the city, local and state candidates, who had their political signs plastered all over, the cities and towns should now get their volunteers to clean up the mess. The cities and towns have enough to worry about without spending city or town money/resources to clean this mess up. Make the candidates’ volunteers do the clean up. It has been over a week since the elections and the signs still remain.

Better yet, next election, only allow these signs to reside at the polling locations instead of all over town, and clean up would be a lot easier. Running for a political office is one thing, but showing that cleaning up after the fact shows sincerity to the city or town the candidates are planning to represent.
