Aide to Ann McCrory takes Chamber post

Heather Dickson, executive assistant to first lady Ann McCrory, has accepted a job with the N.C. Chamber of Commerce.

Dickson will go to work as a development director for the chamber starting on Oct. 28. Her last day in the McCrory administration is Friday.

Dickson, a 29-year old East Carolina University graduate, was making $70,000 per year, serving as Ann McCrory’s chief aide. Dickson had worked a leading fund raiser for Gov. Pat McCrory’s gubernatorial campaigns, and had been finance director for the N.C. Senate Caucus.
