Emily K Center honors those who dream, do, achieve

The Emily Krzyzewski Center in Durham has named the winners of its 2012-13 Dream-Do-Achieve awards.

The students, who attend the center’s K to College programs after school, are Kevin Astudillo, Adeja Cheek, Mishel Gomez, Glenn Green Jr., Tivin Harris, Nicole Inocencio, Faith Merritt, Caleb Omari and Daria Selezneva.

In the K to College program, students from 30 local schools work on skills aimed at helping them succeed in school, gain entry to college and, upon graduation, return to Durham to become leaders in the community. Students were recognized for academic achievement, character and leadership.
