Willow Spring man faces kidnapping charges

Deputies charged a Willow Spring man with kidnapping early Sunday.

Deputies arrested Chase Holden Sorrell, 21, of 161 Darphrid Drive, Willow Spring, on state charges of first-degree kidnapping and first-degree burglary. According to county records, Sorrell is accused of breaking into a home on Kinton Drive in Willow Springs at 3:30 a.m. Sunday to kidnap a woman.

Sorrell restrained the victim and moved her to another place without her consent to terrorize her, according to law enforcement records; he then released the victim in an unsafe place.

Sorrell was released on a $500,000 bond with the condition not to contact the victim. His court date is 9 a.m. Monday.
