Caroline Courtney Davis and Jason Brian Baillargeon were united in marriage at five oclock in the evening on October 19, 2013 at Woodhaven Baptist Church in Apex, NC. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Robert Stewart.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Davis of Cary. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thad Sharp of Sims and Mrs. Christine Davis and the late Mr. Robert Davis of Greensboro. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Baillargeon of Bristow, VA. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Thomas of Warsaw, VA and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Baillargeon of Berlin, NH.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore her mother's veil and a silk gown with beaded re-embroidered Alencon lace and a Swarovski crystal belt. Her bouquet was adorned with brooches from the couples grandmothers. She transitioned into a dress redesigned from her mothers wedding gown following the cutting of the cake. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Mary Margaret Ross of Raleigh. Bridesmaids were Ms. Sarah Baillargeon of Raleigh, Mrs. Elizabeth Gay of Charlotte, Mrs. Katelyn Lippert of Wilmington, Ms. Virginia McIlwain of Chapel Hill, Ms. Kathryn Mooney of Cary, Ms. Alexandra ORourke of Wilmington, Ms. Kathleen Shearin of Washington, DC and Ms. Jennette Wiser of New York, NY. Miss Ashlyn Setzer of Greensboro was junior bridesmaid. Miss Alyson Sharp of Sims and Miss Brooke Whittington of Wilkesboro were flower girls. Honorary bridesmaids were Ms. Blair Brooks of Raleigh, Ms. Haley Garrison of Greenville, Mrs. Sarah Huskey of Raleigh and Ms. Jenna Patkunas of New York, NY.
The grooms father, Brian Baillargeon, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Daniel Easley of Raleigh, Mr. Jonathan Gainey of Raleigh, Mr. Paul Hicks of Edenton, Mr. Jeremy Whitehurst of Raleigh, Mr. Chad Garrison of Bristow, VA, Mr. Chase Garrison of Bristow, VA, Mr. Trevor Jackson of Ponte Vedra, FL and Mr. Devin Williams of Jersey City, NJ. Junior groomsman was Mr. Thaddeus Sharp V and the ring bearer was Mr. McLane Sharp, both of Sims. Following the ceremony, the brides parents hosted a reception with dinner and dancing at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. On the eve of the wedding, the grooms parents hosted a rehearsal dinner, followed by a welcome party for out of town guests, at the Park Alumni Center in Raleigh.
The bride received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and graduated as a Public Service Scholar. She is a healthcare technology segment manager and is employed by Allscripts. The groom received his bachelor of science degree from North Carolina State University in 2007. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is employed as a revenue analyst with Overture Networks. Following a honeymoon in Antigua, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
