Kim Blake: Stinking politics

October 22, 2013

Politically motivated finger-pointing has sunk to a new low. The Oct. 18 article “McCrory remodeled office restroom over bad odor” reported that McCrory spokeswoman Kim Genardo said the old Capitol restroom required new paint, tile and repairs last July because of poor maintenance under the Republican governor’s predecessor, a Democrat.

Have we come to a point where casting political blame for such as this is normal? No wonder the Republicans and Democrats are becoming increasingly polarized and fractious and government can’t get anything done. Perhaps the governor’s restroom is not the only source of the odor.
