Recap: Detroit vs. Washington

Auburn Hills, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Greg Monroe filled the stat sheet with 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists, as the Detroit Pistons edged the Washington Wizards, 99-96, on Tuesday in preseason action from the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Kyle Singler scored 14 points, Will Bynum added 13 points and nine assists, and Chauncey Billups chipped in 12 points and six assists for the Pistons, who improved to 3-4 in the preseason.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards within 17 points and seven boards, while Kevin Seraphin posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards for Washington, which dropped to 1-5 in the preseason.
