Wilson man arrested in Raleigh rape, kidnapping, robbery case

— Police have arrested a Wilson man in connection with a rape, robbery and kidnapping crime reported to have occurred in August.

Cedric Lamar Williams, 31, was arrested Tuesday and faces felony charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual offense, first-degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is accused of kidnapping, raping and robbing an unidentified victim at gunpoint on Aug. 29.

Williams also faces charges of failure to appear for misdemeanor marijuana possession, driving while license revoked and open container charges.

Williams, of 718 Tarboro St. West in Wilson, is listed on the warrant as a student at “Wilson Tech,” possibly referring to Wilson Community College.
