UPDATE: This event has been canceled.

The Daily Planet Cafe at Raleigh’s N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences is hosting a Halloween-themed dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The interactive dinner will include discussions about “how over time the history of certain foods have changed the way we have come to view the urban legends surrounding zombies, vampires and witches.” Diners are encouraged to come in costume.

The dinner costs $50. The menu includes red corn bisque soup garnished with bull’s blood; duck oysters Rockefeller with a rye and spinach topping and a pumpkin hollandaise sauce; osso buco with whipped sweet potatoes, red onion, cucumber relish and smoked paprika; and for dessert, pumpkin crunch torte.

Tickets to the event can be purchased online:

The restaurant is at 121 W. Jones St., Raleigh. Info: 919-707-8060
