Local student earns honors at Howe School

Ashley Bockholdt of Apex received several awards for the 2012-13 school year at The Howe School in Indiana, where she is a cadet.

Ashley received the Military Order of the Purple Heart Award, the Haberly Award (Silver), the Edward A. Khamis Award for Vocal Excellence, the Kurtis Most Improved Speaker Award (Silver), the Major Frank M. Little Sr. Memorial Award for Excellence in American History, the Ranking Cadet Award for the 11th Grade (Gold), the Best Spirit Award for A Company (Gold) and the President’s Education Award for Educational Excellence.

Ashley, the daughter of Sven and Kristine Bockholdt, has attended Howe since January 2012 and was in 11th grade last school year.
