Teens serve as N.C. House pages

Tafari Bailey, James Etheridge, Elizabeth Fields, Parker King, Elisabeth Paulson and Meredith Williams recently served as pages for a week in the N.C. House of Representatives.

Pages deliver bills and other documents for lawmakers and help with clerical work and errands around the legislature.

Tafari, a student at Word of God Christian Academy and the son of Jimmie and Mia Bailey of Raleigh, was sponsored by Rep. Darren Jackson.

James, a student at Grace Christian Academy, is the son of Beverly Etheridge of Raleigh and was sponsored by Rep. Edgar V. Starnes.

Elizabeth Fields is the daughter of Benjamin and Carol Fields of Durham and was sponsored by Rep. Pat B. Hurley. Parker is the daughter of Ron and Donna King of Raleigh, and Starnes was her sponsor. Both Elizabeth and Parker attended North Raleigh Christian Academy.

Elisabeth Paulson, a student at St. Mary’s School, is the daughter of David and Mary Beth Paulson of Raleigh and was sponsored by Rep. Thom Tillis.

Meredith, a student at Cary Christian School, is the daughter of Don Williams of Cary and Angie Lock of Smithfield and was sponsored by Starnes.
