— Duke redshirt junior linebacker Kelby Brown and sophomore placekicker Ross Martin were named ACC Players of the Week following Duke’s 13-10 win at No. 16 Virginia Tech.

Duke: Outside hitter Emily Sklar earned ACC Player of the Week accolades Monday after leading the Blue Devils to victories over No. 18 Florida and Miami this past weekend. • Following a pair of key ACC wins in Cameron Indoor Stadium, the Duke volleyball team climbed five spots to No. 18 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll. Monday’s poll marks the first time the Blue Devils have been ranked in the top 20 since Duke held the No. 17 spot to being the 2011 campaign.

Duke (18-3, 9-1) has been on a tear as of late, winning 14 of its past 15 matches. The Blue Devils are currently tied with No. 12 North Carolina atop the ACC standings after wins over then-No. 18 Florida State and Miami this past weekend.

The Blue Devils return to action this weekend as Duke plays host to Syracuse Friday and Boston College Saturday.

Duke: Men’s tennis head coach Ramsey Smith announced Monday the program’s spring dual match schedule, which includes 18 matchups against teams listed in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings last year.

The Blue Devils kick off the 2014 slate with a six-match homestand, hosting in-state opponent Elon at the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center in the opener Friday, Jan. 17.

Duke closes the regular season Sunday, Apr. 20 against ACC rival North Carolina at Ambler Tennis Stadium.
