Daytona Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The LPGA and Xanterra announced a four-year extension of the Kingsmill Championship on Tuesday, bringing the event back to Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., through the 2017 season.

The 10th staging of the event will be held May 15-18, 2014, with players competing for a $1.3 million purse.

"Everything about Kingsmill is top-notch -- from the incredible resort, to the championship River Course venue, to the way they treat both the players and fans," said LPGA commissioner Michael Whan. "I'm so excited about our long- term partnership, as it ensures that we'll continue this wonderful tradition of showcasing the best golfers in the world, at one of the best golf resorts in the world."
