I commend Marc Landry for his Oct. 30 column “A tale of two surgeries.” Given his previous writing about the Affordable Care Act, imagine my surprise to read a column laying out the facts without his usual hyperbole. He points out the stark differences between the American and Canadian health care systems based on the experience of two of his friends. On every point, the Canadian system was much more affordable and offered more choices with no discernible differences in time or quality but vast differences in delivery and cost of services.
Everyone should read his column, put it on Facebook and mail it to friends as well as to the people who decry affordable care. We hear so many lies and half-truths about it. How refreshing to read the truth!
