RALEIGH — A Raleigh man is accused of stealing a washing machine, a hospital bed, a power wheel chair and a bed hoist.
Richard Eugene High, who has not listed address, was charged Wednesday by the Raleigh Police Department with felony larceny.
High, 50, is suspected of taking goods worth a total of $2,400, according to an arrest warrant. Raleigh police suspect the crime occurred in June, while the 69-year-old victims house was unoccupied.
He also is accused of resisting a public officer and trespassing on the railroad right-of-way.
High was found guilty in 1988 of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and of communicating threats in 2013, according to court records.
High was held on $12,000 bond at the Wake County Detention Center as of Wednesday night.
