    • David Bromberg brings his quintet to Cat’s Cradle Sunday, for a rare and long-awaited Triangle Area appearance.

Formed in 1989, Colorado’s enduring jam band, Leftover Salmon, labels its eclectic amalgam of musical delights “Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass.” It’s as good a label as any for a band that originated in bluegrass and draws inspiration from the New Grass Revival/Sam Bush-Bela Fleck “if the music fits, play it” school of border-busting. Leftover Salmon will kick out the jams Thursday at 9 p.m. at Cat’s Cradle. Jon Stickley will also perform. Details:
