Men assault, rob NCSU student in apartment parking lot

— A half-dozen men assaulted an N.C. State student and stole his personal possessions in a parking lot Thursday evening, campus police said.

In an alert to the campus, police said six or seven men approached the student in the parking lot of the E.S. King Village housing area about 7:50 p.m.

The student was not reported to have been seriously hurt in the incident.

The victim told police that the men fled west on Jackson Street after the robbery, they said.

E.S. King is a university-owned apartment complex near Gorman and Jackson streets.
