Spurs F Duncan will not play Friday

The Sports NetworkNovember 1, 2013

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan has been ruled out of Friday's clash with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Duncan suffered a chest contusion in Wednesday's opener against the Memphis Grizzlies. The four-time NBA champion registered just three points and six rebounds before exiting.

Duncan traveled with the team to Los Angeles but will not play. He'll be re- evaluated prior to Saturday's matchup with Portland and is considered day-to- day.

Boris Diaw will start in Duncan's place.
