Students serve as pages in N.C. House

November 3, 2013 

Alex Chen and Hayden Hemphill of Raleigh and Kabir Kumar-Hardy and Stefan Steiner of Chapel Hill recently served as pages for a week in the N.C. House of Representatives.

Pages deliver bills and other documents for lawmakers and help with clerical work and errands around the legislature.

Alex, a student at Enloe High School, is the son of Liang Chen and Karen Peng and was sponsored as a page by Rep. Jim Fulghum.

Hayden, a student at Broughton High School, is the daughter of Susan Jones and was sponsored by Rep. Justin P. Burr.

Kabir and Stefan both attended Chapel Hill High School. Kabir, the son of Ralph and Anuardha Kumar, was sponsored by Rep. Paul Stam. Stefan is the son of Beat Steiner and Ruth Petersen and was sponsored by Rep. Julia C. Howard.
