Eric Ebron and his North Carolina teammates celebrated the Tar Heels’ first victory at Carter-Finley Stadium since 2005.

— Back in Chapel Hill today after spending Saturday in Raleigh, where North Carolina left with a 27-19 victory against N.C. State. It wasn’t always pretty. It was at times quite ugly. But the Tar Heels will take it. After that dreadful 1-5 start, they’ve now won two consecutive games.

Here’s a look back at our stories:

From Joe Giglio, a story about a game in which UNC made a claim that this is, in fact, still the Tar Heel state.

UNC’s postgame celebration offended the Wolfpack but, as Luke DeCock writes, N.C. State asked for it.

Meanwhile, what’s going on with the Tar Heels’ defense? From me, a story about another strong defensive game for UNC.

There were two controversial targeting calls on Saturday, and the one that went against N.C. State hurt the most.

And, oh yes – remember those comments from earlier in the week from UNC tight end Eric Ebron? So did he. And he had more to say after the game on Saturday.

And last but not least, some of the best quotes from Saturday, from both sides.
