Aldi deals, Nov. 6-12

The 99-cent pineapple deal is back at Aldi stores in the Triangle this week, along with pomegranates for 59 cents, five-pound bags of grapefruit for $1.79 and three-pound bags of Gala apples for $2.29.

Plus, prices on many holiday meal staples and baking products have dropped in anticipation of the holiday baking season. Some of the highlights: chocolate chips for $1.29 per bag, butter for $1.69! per pound and canned pumpkin for 89 cents.

Aldi shopping tips:

Aldi does not accept coupons or provide bags. Bring your own reusable bags and a quarter to rent a cart. Your coin will be returned when you return the cart to the corral near the front door.

This week's top deals:

Bananas: 44 cents per pound.

Pomegranates: 59 cents each.

Pineapple: 99 cents each! My all-time favorite Aldi deal.

Red grapes: $1.29 per pound.

Grapefruit: $1.79 for a five-pound bag.

Gala apples: $2.29 for a three-pound bag.

Hams: 99 cents to $1.99 per pound.

Butterball turkey: $1.19 per pound.

Stuffing mix: 69 cents.

Cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied, 14 oz.): 89 cents.

Canned pumpkin (100% pure, 15 oz.): 89 cents. Very nice deal.

Canned yams (16 oz.): 99 cents.

Chocolate chips (11-12 oz.): $1.29. Great price.

Cream cheese (8 oz.): 99 cents.

Refrigerated crescent rolls (8 oz.): 99 cents.

Butter (1 lb.): $1.69! Fantastic price.

Block cheese (8 oz.): $1.79.

Wednesday Fresh Meat Special: Pork roast meal kit (2.75 lb.): $6.99.
