State football championship schedule released

The N.C. High School Athletic Association released its schedule Wednesday for next month’s state football championships.

The eight championships will be held at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, and BB&T Field in Winston-Salem. One game will be played Dec. 13, and the others are scheduled for Dec. 14.

The 2-A classifications will play their games at Kenan Stadium, with the 2-AA final on Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. and the 2-A game on Dec. 14 at 11 a.m.

Carter-Finley will host the 4-A class and one of the 3-A championships. The 3-A title game will be on Dec. 14 at 11 a.m., followed by the 4-A game at 3 p.m. and the 4-AA game at 7 p.m.

At BB&T Field, the 1-A game is scheduled for 11 a.m., followed by the 1-AA championship at 3 p.m. and the 3-AA final at 7 p.m.

Time Warner Cable will provide live coverage of all eight football finals.
