From staff reportsNovember 6, 2013

— A Raleigh man recovering from a gunshot wound was released from the hospital Wednesday and taken into police custody on charges of murder.

Police say Isaiah Marquice Beverley of 3812-B Brentwood Road is one of three people responsible for the shooting death of Trevon Shaihid Beard, 19, of Angier.

Police responded to a robbery call 12:01 a.m. Tuesday at the Brentwood West apartment complex where Beverly lived. When they arrived they found Beard fatally shot inside a parked car0.

Two brothers, Bionta Eugene Bryant, 17, and Robert Alphonso Bryant, 19, both of Raleigh, were arrested at a Motel 6 on Appliance Court soon after the shooting.

Investigators say the suspects and Beard were acquainted and that the shooting was not a random act.

Police found Beverley at Duke Health in Raleigh where he was seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to his shoulder, said police spokesman Jim Sughrue.

Beverley was arrested at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, his 20th birthday, according to arrest warrants. He is being held at the Wake County jail without benefit of bail, court records show.
