Teens help out in N.C. House

James German and Kiana Swepson of Apex; Nicole George, Richard Seabolt and William Thrower of Raleigh; and Joseph Williams of Wake Forest recently served as pages for a week in the N.C. House of Representatives.

Pages deliver bills and other documents for lawmakers and help with clerical work and errands around the legislature.

James, a student at Grace Christian Academy and the son of Dirk and Beth German, was sponsored as a page by Rep. Paul Stam.

Kiana, a student at Broughton High School in Raleigh and the daughter of Jason and Tanya Swepson, was sponsored by Rep. Duane Hall.

Nicole, a student at Enloe High School and the daughter of Nicholas and Anabella George, was sponsored by Rep. Jim Fulghum.

Richard, the son of Richard and Dawn Seabolt, was sponsored by Rep. Marilyn Avila. William, the son of Terry and Linda Thrower, was sponsored by Rep. Bob Steinburg. Both were students at Leesville Road High School.
