Kirk Polizzi: Give thanks to veterans

November 10, 2013

Every Veterans Day, I make a point to remember our men and women in uniform, and this year is no exception. We honor all those who served proudly and bravely. Take the time to thank them. Get involved, take part in our nation’s ceremonies at local cemeteries for our veterans.

Looking out at the countless small American flags blowing in the breeze, try to imagine where America would be today if it were not for all those who served so unselfishly.

Let us not forget as well all those who have returned home injured and wounded. I am a proud member of the Wounded Warrior Project.

We cannot forget any of our veterans. As Americans we owe them everything. A veteran asks for very little or nothing. As a free people living in a land of freedom, the least we can do is honor, respect and thank them for all they have done for all of us.
