Man charged with a dozen break-ins at Raleigh businesses

— Police on Sunday accused a 24-year-old man of a dozen burglaries going back to August, all at small businesses and most involving the theft of cigarettes.

Heikeem D’Shawn White of 1505 N. Raleigh Blvd. faces 12 counts of breaking and entering, 11 counts of larceny after breaking and entering and one count of attempted breaking and entering.

In numerous arrest warrants, police listed break-ins at gas stations and convenience stores, a tobacco shop and a shoe store around the city.

The break-ins cited in the arrest warrants began Aug. 11, and the most recent was Sunday at a grocery on Six Forks Road.

White’s bail was set at $400,000, and he was being held at the Wake County Detention Center pending a court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
