Player of the week: Kendall Hinton of Southern Durham passed for 452 yards and five touchdowns in a 55-41 win against previously undefeated Orange. Hinton also ran for 128 yards and a touchdown. The Panthers entered the game having allowed only 78 points and 10 touchdowns all season.

Play of the week: Smithfield-Selma quarterback Chris Samuels tossed a 33-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-16 with 1 minute, 29 seconds left to Raequan Smith in the Spartans’ 22-21 win against South Johnston. The victory stopped a 40-game losing streak.

Defense of the week: Erwin Triton forced four turnovers and held Corinth Holders to two touchdowns and 156 total yards in a 41-14 win.

Special teams salute: Fuquay-Varina faked a punt on fourth-and-goal from its own 40 and Tyler MacBride dashed 60 yards for a touchdown in a 28-14 loss to Middle Creek.

Interceptor: Myiles Harrison had three interceptions in Holly Springs’ 40-28 win against Apex.

Passing streak: Shawn Stankavage passed for 450 yards and seven touchdowns in a 55-14 win against Pittsboro Northwood. Stankavage passed for 430 yards the week before in a 49-28 loss to Orange.

Kicker of the week: Jarrett Cervi of Millbrook booted a 26-yard field goal with 1:44 left for the final points in a 41-40 victory over Sanderson.

Joel Evans, Riverside: Scored four touchdowns and gained 273 yards in a 41-16 win against Northern Durham.

Johnny Frasier, Princeton: Rushed for five touchdowns and 233 yards in a 56-19 victory over Rosewood.

Reid Herring, Millbrook: Passed for 317 yards and threw five touchdown passes in a 41-40 win against Sanderson.

Trevion Hackney, Cary: Scored four touchdowns and ran for 183 yards in a 28-23 win against Athens Drive.

Sean Bowman, South Granville: Rushed for 190 yards and scored three touchdowns in the Vikings' 47-7 victory over Roanoke Rapids.

Tray Staten, Holly Springs: Scored four touchdowns and added 173 rushing yards in a 40-28 win against Apex. Jordan Kornegay had all six of the Hawks receptions for 159 yards.

Bryce Love, Wake Forest: Scored four touchdowns and gained 101 yards on 10 carries in a 45-13 victory over Enloe.

Damontay Rhem, East Wake: Gained 200 yards and scored three touchdowns in a 30-21 loss to Knightdale.

Garrett Cloer, Orange: Passed for 261 yards and three touchdowns in a 55-41 loss to Southern Durham.

Dorrel McClain, Panther Creek: Ran for 170 yards and scored four touchdowns in a 28-18 win against Green Hope.
