Raleigh police charge man with having pound of marijuana

— A 23-year-old man had a pound of marijuana when he was arrested Thursday on charges of possession with intent to sell and conspiracy, police said in arrest warrants.

Nakkia Amond Alston of 5211 Trinity Village Lane in Raleigh was arrested at 224 Buck Jones Road on a charge of possession with intent to sell or deliver the marijuana and a charge of conspiring with Idricse Sabour Turner, 25, whom police said lives next door, at 226 Buck Jones Road.

Alston had approximately 504 grams of marijuana, according to an arrest warrant.

That is equivalent to 1.1 pounds.

Alston’s bail was set at $40,000.

Turner, who faced a charge of conspiring with Alston, was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
